This incident has been resolved. Pix payins and payouts are processing normally again.
Payins are back to processing normally. Payouts are still experiencing some slowness; we are monitoring until processing times fully recover.
The upstream provider has publicly confirmed the root cause: instability in the communication with the Central Bank affecting PIX processing. A fix is being implemented on their side. Failed payouts remain automatically refunded and incoming PIX payments will confirm automatically once processing resumes.
BRL payins via PIX are also affected: incoming PIX payments are confirming slower than usual since 22:00 UTC and will complete automatically once the provider recovers - no action is needed. Failed BRL payouts continue to be automatically and fully refunded to the source wallet; no funds are at risk. Other currencies and rails are operating normally.
Since 22:01 UTC, some BRL transactions via PIX are failing due to an issue at an upstream payment processing provider. The provider is aware and working on a resolution.
Affected transactions were automatically and fully refunded to the source — no action is needed.
Other currencies and payment rails are operating normally. We will post an update here as soon as processing is back to normal.
